The Latin Quarter is included in the Ville-Marie borough and is bordered by Sherbrooke Street to the north, Saint Hubert to the east, Saint Laurent Boulevad to the west and De Maisonneuve Boulevard to the south. Although its area is less than 2 km2, the Latin Quarter seems to be in perpetual motion. It is strategically located near Old Montreal and Downtown, and is home to the Universite de Quebec a Montreal (UQAM) campus and the Vieux-Montreal Cegep campus. Here you can also find Montreal's most important subway station, Berri-UQAM, which provides access to the orange, yellow and green lines. Due to the large number of students in the area, there are many small shops, independent bookstores, cafes, micro-breweries, and bars.

The Latin Quarter has a few condos and apartments, to say nothing of the numerous student residences near UQAM and Old Montreal. The area will interest young people in the know who want to live at the heart of all the action. Just be sure that your budget is as big as your dreams!

Despite its size, the Latin Quarter has enough attractions to be the envy of every other Montreal neighbourhood...
