Pointe-St-Charles is located in the southwest. It is bordered by the Lachine Canal, the Bonaventure Expressway, the Saint Lawrence River and Highway 20. The neighborhood is surrounded by VerdunLittle Burgundy and the Cité-du-Havre. A very popular area in its heyday, Pointe-St-Charles has a mainly francophone population with a significant anglophone presence, largely of Irish descent. The area is in constant flux, and is currently undergoing a slow but steady gentrification process. As a result, the duplex and triplex apartments of the area have recently been acquiring new condo neighbours. The neighbourhood will interest young couples who want to live in an up-and-coming neighbourhood that is next to the Lachine Canal, the Bonaventure Expressway, Highway 20, and ten minutes from the downtown core.

Features and attractions:

  • Charlevoix metro station (green line)
  • Le Ber park

  • Saint Gabriel House, one of the rare vestiges of the French regime, and the oldest farmhouse in the city of Montréal
