Ahuntsic-Cartierville is located in the central northern part of the island and is made up of the Ahuntsic and Cartierville neighbourhoods. This primarily residential borough has 126,000 inhabitants. Ahuntsic-Cartierville is surrounded by Rivière-des-Prairies, Montreal-North, Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension, TMR and Saint-Laurent.
Main attractions
- Since 2002 Ahuntsic-Cartierville hosts the International Festiblues of Montreal, bringing together the greatest bluesmen in the world.
- The park of the Ile-de-la-Visitation, along the Rivière des Prairies, is one of the finest in Montreal and allows you to make picnics, cycling and cross-country skiing in winter.
- The Claude-Robillard Sports Complex offers high caliber facilities: Olympic size swimming pool, an athletics track, soccer fields, multi-purpose sports halls, etc.
- The borough is home to some twenty public and private primary and secondary schools (including some very famous) and three CEGEPs.

Transportation
The metro stations serving the neighborhood are those of Sauvé, Crémazie and Henri- Bourassa. There is also the Eastern train ( Station Ahuntsic and Sauvé ) and the train Deux-Montagnes ( Chabanel ) .
The STM also offers a service specially designed for seniors, line 263 - Navette Or Bordeaux- Cartierville . The shuttle is a minibus with 20 seats serving the major points of interest for the local clientele. The stops are easy to spot. The line number is registered with a gold background targeted stops.
