The Village is Montreal's gay neighbourhood. Its renown far surpasses the borders of Quebec despite its 2km2 size,  is located in Ville-Marie and bordered by the Quartier latin. It is bordered by Rene Levesque Boulevard to the south, St Hubert to the west, Ontario to the north and Papineau to the east.

The Village is comprised of many bars, clubs and businesses which cater mainly, but not exclusively, to the gay and lesbian community. Included in the Ville-Marie borough, the Village is right next to the Latin Quarter, Old Montreal, and Downtown is easily accessible thanks to Beaudry metro.

The residences in the village are mainly apartments and condos that are sure to interest not only members of the LGBT community, but also young people who are interested in living in a neighbourhood that is close to everything and knows how to party.

A poor neighbourhood at first, this area was occupied by members of the LGBT community starting in the 1980's and gradually became one of Montreal's main tourist attractions.
