Located in the southwest of the island of Montreal, in the borough South-West, St Henri is bordered by the Lachine Canal, Highway 15, the Ville Marie Expressway and Atwater Avenue. Saint Henri is surrounded by  Pointe Saint-Charles, Côte-Saint-Paul, Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Westmount and the Little Burgundy. Although the area is comprised largely of duplexes, triplexes, and many other types of apartments, St. Henri has also been enjoying a certain amount of real-estate development over the last couple of years, with many new condo projects being developed. Thanks to this surge, the area will interest couples and singles looking for a condo near the magnificent Lachine Canal. Downtown and Old Montreal are both easily and rapidly accessible thanks to St Henri's two metro stations.

Previously a working-class neighbourhood, Saint Henri went through a rough time due to the deindustrialisation of the sector. However, the rejuvenation of the Atwater Market and the reopening of the Lachine Canal for recreational purposes breathed new life into the area and today it is enjoying unprecedented growth.
