St. Leonard is a neighbourhood in the northern part of the island of Montreal, and is bordered by Industriel Boulevard, Chamo d'Eau Street, Belanger Street and partly by 25th Avenue. It is surrounded by Montreal Nord, Anjou, Mercier, Rosemont and Saint Michel.
A mostly francophone neighbourhood, Saint Leonard also has a significant Italian community. It is a mostly residential area comprised of many apartment blocks, condos, and houses. It is the ideal area for people who wish to live on the island and benefit from the peace and quiet that this neighbourhood can offer.
Although it has no metro station, Saint Leonard residents can count on its rapid and efficient bus system and will enjoy proximity to the Metropolitan Expressway, which makes everything more accessible. Here you can find many small restaurants and Italian shops, many churches, and three highschools. The Saint Leonard Aquatic Complex, with three pools and a sauna, will surely delight water lovers. Finally, the Saint Leonard Cave Site is a natural cave that one can visit in the heart of the island of Montreal.
