Régie du bâtiment
The mission of the Régie du bâtiment du Québec is "to ensure proper quality of construction work and the safety of the public who have access to a building or facilities intended for use by the public or who use installations independent of a building." The Régie is currently re-engineering the laws and regulations it enforces by implementing the Building Code and Safety Code, as required under the Building Act, which is administered by the Régie. The purpose of this act is to implement a single basic standard for all buildings and equipment in Québec.

Régie du logement
The Régie du logement is a tribunal devoted to tenant housing, includind leases and rights and obligations of landlords and tenants. Its mission is to legiferate on housing conflicts according to the laws of justice. It also seeks to inform citizens on their rights and obligations related to the lease in order to avoid conflits arising from ignorance and to favor the conciliation of tenant/landlord relations.

Accès Condos involves the development and marketing of affordable divided co-ownership units (condominiums) in the territory of the City of Montreal.
Thanks to the Accès Condos program of the SHDM, you can easily become the owner of a condominium, even if you are not a first-time buyer. In fact, you only need to pay a deposit of $1,000 and the SHDM will advance you 10% of the down payment you need to purchase a condo from one of the Accès Condos projects.

Fond d’indemnisation du courtage immobilier
The Fonds d’indemnisation du courtage immobilier is an agency created pursuant to the Loi sur le courtage immobilier (Real Estate Brokerage Act). Its funds are derived from the fees paid each year by all Québec real estate brokers and agents. The purpose of the Fund is to provide compensation, free of charge, to victims of a real estate fraud, a dishonest real estate transaction or a misappropriation of funds or other property which, under the Act, must be deposited in a trust account.
